Exterior cladding of houses

Exterior cladding of houses

The feeling that the Holmann House will create for its residents will be exactly the same as a new concrete – brick house , only more energy- efficient and comfortable. It will also have a modern and non-conformist appearance . We mainly use aluminum-polyethylene composite (Alucobond type), but we also use HPL (high-pressure laminated sheet) or fiber cement sheets (Equitone type). The Alucobond type composite consists of thin aluminum sheets on both sides and a hard polyethylene core . It is light , rigid, easy to shape , corrosion – resistant and recyclable . Architects , designers and building owners are still impressed by these extraordinary properties.

Why don't we use noble plaster?

To finish classic houses is a wet material that flows and can leave irreparable stains on the pavement and other objects when applied . After application , it can peel off over time , crack, turn black from rainwater, change color from UV radiation , is difficult to repair ( even if you know the code , you ca n’t get the same color ), and cannot be washed. That’s why quality buildings , such as luxury hotels , institutions or banks , are coated from the outside with these materials we use, even if their cost is much higher . We almost never use any wet materials when building a house . Similarly , avoid tiling outdoor patios with tiles , as these will loosen over time from freeze-thaw cycles.

P1 – Stone cladding or imitation brick cladding on the wall of the house will loosen and fall off if the wall of the house absorbs moisture through the foundation.

P2 – Irreparable stains on the sidewalk due to the application of plaster filler on the insulation of the house .

P3 – Irreparable stains on the pavement from the noble plaster on the building and along the road .

P4 – The terrace was made with external tiles and external grout , but the grout cracked from freeze-thaw cycles and the tiles came off . Our terraces are built differently .

P5 – Discoloration of the plaster can be seen between the walls more exposed to sunlight and the walls less exposed .

P6 – The dirt cannot be cleaned from the noble plaster .

P7 – The noble plaster turns black and peels off in places where it gets a lot of rainwater .

P8 – The noble plaster is easily scratched and difficult to repair ( the color lightens over time and the same color cannot be reordered, even if the original color code is available ) .

P9 – The render has been applied incorrectly or to surfaces that may change, crack and peel over time .

P10 – Any adhesive – fixed wall covering (faience, tiles, brick imitation ) will come off the plastered brick wall if the wall absorbs moisture from the ground .

P11 – Sometimes the outline of the insulation boards can be seen on the render even if the filler and render are applied properly ( depending on the light , the position of the sun , the thickness of the filler layer applied )

Ideas for the exterior of the house :

In consultation with the architect, we offer the customer the opportunity to design the exterior of the house . There are many composite panels , such as Alucobond in various colors or in imitation of wood, marble, stone . We can also install additional elements made of natural stone , stainless steel or plants ( natural or imitation ) on the exterior of the house.

An example of a color combination often used in modern houses is: one color (or several shades of it ) used in large proportions (white , beige , cream , light brown, etc.), combined with anthracite gray and faux wood. In addition to these , you can perhaps add small natural stone elements or plants . You will see many modern buildings with this combination . Anthracite gray is a neutral color that goes with any color, and you will find many home and garden elements in anthracite gray, which thus fits well with the style of the house .

Other interesting ideas would be : engraved alucobond ( with milling of the first aluminum layer on a CNC machine ) or CNC perforated metal sheet . The ambient lighting system of the external walls is also important
